The Science Behind EPK

A key plot point revolves around the controversial Younger Dryas impact hypothesis, which suggests that a meteor struck the North American Ice Sheet 12,800 years ago, triggering a cataclysmic flood.

For the purposes of the EPK, that flood buried an alien ship—sent as a probe from another star system—beneath layers of sediment, silencing its SOS signal for millennia.

Thousands of years later, a drill searching for an underground freshwater source pierces the ship’s hull, allowing the long-dormant signal to escape. Now, it’s wreaking havoc on anyone within earshot.

Our Location
